doublepost, oops. sorry!
Grimy as heck from the trip to my place form it's old home. Needs a good wipe-down.
This is my first lathe, though I have been working with 3D printers for years. I also have an unfinished project to build a small CNC router.
I've always wanted a lathe, and now that I've moved on from working in light industry as a production manager and digital workflow engineer to sheep farming I finally have an excuse to own one as a tool, not just a toy
Still waiting on my VFD and need to clear out the space it's going to occupy too...
The previous owner kept his PhaseII QCTP and I ordered a Chinese BXA/200-series wedge-style one, but he lost the original lantern tool post, so I have no tool holding ATM. I'm currently deciding whether to attack the t-nut blank with hand tools or take it to a local shop and ask them to machine it. Suggestions on that matter?
anyway, here are a few more pics:
Serial number is 117083, which puts it at 1941, I believe...
not shown: faceplace, 5C closer draw-bar, 10" Craftsman 4-jaw, steady rest, live and dead centers, jacobs chuck, spindle thread master, other bits and bobs.
