Need Heavy 10L or 10R Under Drive Cradle

Hello folks,

I;m finally getting around to cleaning and repairing my 1943 dated heavy 10L lathe.

I pulled the lathe apart and found the under drive cradle assembly is cracked and previously repaired but the repair is questionable to me.

It may be OK to use (I have never run this lathe, just immediately stripped it down for cleaning and re-wicking)but I would prefer to replace this part if I can find one. I know that it can be welded but welding cast iron is not something in my skill level and a used undamaged would be preferable to me.

Does anybody on this forum have an extra they would be willing to sell?

There was another fellow that sold used parts and complete lathes but I do not remember whom it is. Suggestions forum members?

OUCH! That's too bad....I hope you find a replacement; that's what I'd do too.

Vlad, im unable to do it myself or i would, but if you happen to be passin by i have a complete in good condition underdrive unit in my shed..everything but the motor.
you are welcome to anything you need, even the whole thing.
