Noga magnetic base indicator holder

Which Noga Indicator holder works best on a South Bend Heavy 10

Tom

NO "single" mag-base holder works "best", all possible situations, all machine tools nor even on ONE machine-tool.

Of necessity and experience, I find I've now got fat, squarish ones, longer skinny ones, teeny-tiny base ones, and clamp-bases that don't use magnetism at all.

A modest "collection" like that of several reasonably-priced "options" might serve your needs better that some singular "legend" that won't always FIT, too?

Cheap enough. And then... wise to fab some goodies as well. It just ain't that hard and you'll be glad of the time second and subsequent use pays-back.

Noga is NOT the top of that food-chain anyhow. Just the most heavily hyped.

Covered arredy. "Right here, on PM" that saga.

More is better

I agree with Thermite, I have I'm guessing north of 12 just mag bases not counting some clamp on style, and chuck or collet mount.
I will though highly endorse Noga, it is a great design and the quality is definitely present. I feel that are better and easier to us than 98% of Starrett's comparable models. I say this because Starrett is kinda the gold standard for a lot of folks.
