Hello crew. I thought I'd share some interesting photos I took earlier
for those of you who like to look at this stuff.
Since I still have a 1956 9" Model-B in boxes, I thought it might be
interesting to set components together with my newly finished 1946 9" Model-A.
To do the math for you, the Model-A is 74 years old and the 1959 is 61.
In 1946, AT&T announce first car phones, Bikinis go on sale in Paris, and the
United Nations have their first meeting.
In 1959, Alaska and Hawaii are admitted into the Union, "The Twilight Zone" premieres on CBS,
and NASA announces its selection of the "Mercury Seven".
(Those were the days, huh?!).
So, 13 years difference in manufacturing...very little had changed on the 9".
(By the way, the '59 appears to be unmolested and all original, for what it's worth).
Also, the bolt in the left bearing cap help to support a power switch bracket.
Carry on.
