Hello all, I purchased a South bend 10l from a local guy in pieces. Hw found a few more parts just not sure what it is. Any help appreciated.

No clue from what make of machine. But looks like a small table top of some sort tool grinder.

Flat edge goes toward grinding wheel. A sort of miter gauge rides in the slot. The degree marker is how you set degrees, to cut angle on lathe tool. The swivel on bottom side, as you may cut more than one angle.

Many different tool grinders use similar tactics for holding tools, as an example check out post #27 and 28:

I'd imagine the hole in top, throught slot might allow for other tools or accessories.
