I want to remove the reverse gear part of a hand lever collet closer. Can it be done in situ, or does the spindle have to be removed. I ask, because with it in place, there is not enough room behind the gear to put a gear puller.
I really don't want to have to remove the spindle! And, does anyone have a regular reverse gear to put on once I get this one removed?
