If it was a D1-4, the catalog number would be CB2180L

Any idea on catalog # DLP 101L? It is 9 1/4" diameter.

That looks like a “unit code number”, not a catalog number.

It is a D1-4 faceplate. Has the DLP 101L # stamped on it along with what appears to be a late SBL logo stamp, although it is a little difficult to read - both of these are on the back rim. Has a casting #3602L2. Maybe not SB?

It is a South Bend .
