Completely new to this.. Recently got this lathe Southbend 444r - Google Drive
(currently sitting on my shop floor...). I believe got a decent deal though I'm sure it needs some work. Looking for any information, valuations, opinions on this specific model. I had one person while I was looking at purchasing it tell me it's not going to be beginner friendly.
Honestly just looking for any advice, on this machine, on the hobby, on other machines if this is going to be "non-beginner friendly".
