Good Afternoon. I am new here and new to forums, so please accept my apologies in advance for any missteps.
I have a South Bend Lathe, Catalog No. 392-E, with 16" Swing/8' Bed and Serial #38991N. Had this running last year.
Would like to know more information about it. Does anyone, maybe, have an idea of what it might be worth.
My husband passed away and I would like to sell it.20200926_144345.jpg20200926_144626.jpg

Sorry I couldn't figure out how to have the pictures right side up. They are correct on my computer.

It looks to be in pretty bad shape. How long has it been OUTSIDE in the elements?

Its worth depends on what someone is willing to pay for it.

I'm not sure how long we've had it, but it's been outside and covered up. Was uncovered when my dad (87 years old) greased and oiled it and had it running, but other than that it's been covered.

Unless there are other chucks and tooling like steady rests etc. put it on Craigslist for $500. That lathe is bigger than most home shop types want so smaller market and the rust doesn't help.
