Hello, I have been a lurker on the forums for a while, and I decided to create an account to ask the common "is this a good purchase?" question. Without further ado here is the lathe in question 1928 south bend - tools - by owner - sale. I believe the model to be the South Bend 9-Inch Junior Lathe (22-yc) South Bend Lathe Works - Publication Reprints - New Model South Bend 9-Inch Junior Lathe | VintageMachinery.org
The asking price is $450, I negotiated the price down to $250. The bill of missing materials from what I can see is as follow:
I will be utilizing this lathe primarily to create and modify espresso machine equipment (fittings, portafilter, tampers, etc..)
Any other missing items I did not notice?
Thoughts?
Thanks for the help, hope to learn a lot from this community.

- Tail Stock
- Horizontal Counter Shaft
- Change gears or a qc gear box (I hear the 10" Southbend qc gearbox is compatible)
- Flat belt
- Would be nice: Lathe Steady Rest
