Looking for the clearance measurement on the cone pulley motor drive assembly, bench model. there is a collar that locks the shaft in place. Next to the drive assembly cone pulley After that collar is locked there is a small amount of play that the shaft can slide back-and-forth which gives a clearance to the motor drive wheel that the V belt run on.

was looking for that clearance dimension. if anyone has that in their notes it would be nice to confirm.

Thank you

South Bend 9" lathes .......
I would think someone would have Information or opinion on this topic.
I did see on the schematic diagram also had a washer along with the lock collar.
if anybody has a good description On their 9" South Bend with this set up or something that they can compare to their machine it would be most helpful.

Thank you

Since there is no thrust loads, really free rotation is the only requirement.

But as a default .002-.004" (.001"-.002" per side) should be fine.

.02 clearances would be where lines indicating as that lock collar holds it between that leg of the frame.
Still wondering what happen
To the #7 washer on my machine, possibly never installed?

Thank you
