I need a steady rest for my 9C. I found a steady rest on eBay for 60 bucks. This is a very similar stead rest to the one that was supplied with my Grizzly 10x22. There are no specific dimensions in the listing. I asked the seller if the part would work with the South Bend 9C. He told me it would work with a 9 inch lathe.

Bottom line: It does not work with my lathe. The center of the rest is 3/4 inch off in comparison with the center of the lathe. So, if you need a rest for you Model 9, this is not it.
