Don't use Photo Phucket here. Load the pictures HERE, on this site. That way, in five years, when PP decides to delete your account (and photos), the pictures can still be seen.

That picture looks like a bowl of Porridge lol.

If your on droid I may not be able to help but I’ll try.

It’s awkward at first but once you learn the process you’ll be golden.

First, download you pictures TO your PHONE.
Next, go to your browser settings and turn on “request desktop site” when you get the white screen hit BACK AND THEN REFRESH THE PAGE.

You should now be in “desktop” mode.

You should see more options available to you in the text box.

Select the emblem with the tree in it (it’s a photo of a tree)
And upload your pics.

This will load the pics in a low definition format.

To load pics in full format requires a PC

Mobil upload vs desktop up load (requires PC)

For what it's worth, I always transfer my iPhone pics to my computer first, then select these pics by this site's "Manage Attachments" feature. I also change the name of the pic (usually) otherwise they are just numbers. I will also usually drag these pics into a specific folder such as "Lathe Pics", and then into sub-folders such as "Crossfeed Related". Makes them easier to find.

Some folks seem to have luck with TappaTalk app, but I know nothing about it.
Probably some videos out there that can help; they are specific to your phone's operating system.

Just takes practice to see what works for you. You might find a nerd in their mid-twenties to help out...they can usually do almost anything on a phone/computer. I would NEVER use an outside photo "hosting" site such as the "Bucket". Keep them private in your own device. (Commies are watching and copying!)

If you don't have a "computer" you might think about getting a used laptop...something to store your photos in rather than your phone....which will eventually crap out, and all your photos will be dispersed as wayward pixels into the ether.

Most everything from my phone is stored on the cloud also but I'd have to figure out how to get to it

You could make a start by saying some facts about the super teeny photo

Like is the spindle cone three step or four step (for the belt)?

Three step will be 11 (or 12 if really that old) and four step would be 13 or larger - just like the old pub I linked in an above post

I've Seen Rougher!

Thanks for posting the pics Steve. It never ceases to amaze me that
these old relics are still out there waiting to be rescued.
Of course the photos are from a distance, but all things considered,
I've seen newer lathes in much worse condition. I can only imagine
what the working conditions were for the machinists back in those
days, and with not much in the way of gizmos to use to get the job done.
Good on you Chad! (I think you should get yourself an old pair of coveralls
and one of those English style hats to look the part).
Keep the pics coming.

PS: Holcombe & Hoke Factory photo courtesy of "LatheFan"; I could
not copy the link for some reason (new computer).
