Southbend 9C (1940's) and Southbend 9A - Nar 10 (Post 1945) Spindle Thread

Hi Guys,

Hope all is well.

Does anyone if the Spindle thread is the same on SB 9C 1940 build as a SB 9A Post 1945 (Nar10) build?

I have given the opportunity to acquire some chucks but want to make sure they fit.

The 9A and the 9C have the same external spindle thread - 1-½" x 8 TPI.

Even if the chucks don't fit and they are a good buy, you might want to consider getting them anyway. All that you would have to do then is machine yourself some backing plates to fit the chucks and you have yourself a set of chucks for your machine.
