Default spin dle swap on a O series 11"??

spindle swap out on a 1928 O series 11" possible?
Ive heard of this being done successfully with other series
ive got a O series 11" but the spindle is a odd duck for tooling and the pass through is narrower than id prefer.
anyone had any luck swapping out one if so what donor spindle did you use?

Here are a few dimension - like length. See if ANY of the lengths are anywhere near your spindle length

Then you can wonder about essentials, like bearing diameters and cone fit diameters and bull gear fit diameter

I'd guess you've got no chance on this. Those spindles are heavy walled because they are soft, and the later lathes have drastically different headstocks.

If I just HAD to have a different spindle, I would have the old one out and make a dimensioned drawing of it and go from there. Its what machinists do.
