Been enjoying my new to me Heavy 10 and have been tooling up a bit. Over the winter I gave mine a refurb and is has been great for my skill level. In a recent parts lot acquisition, I grabbed this large dial (100 grad.) carriage assembly, apparently with taper att screw. The lot was a great deal as it came with a steady, a follow, a complete tailstock (with dial that mine does not have0, and collet rack.
Question is, any insight into the changeover short of changing out the entire lot? Anyone done this stock for stock internal components? I have watched Halligans great series of vids for the 9 with the entire buildup of large dials. Though I loved the series, I've no desire to build that many parts. I threw a pic in for discussion.
