Just thought I'd pass this along to anyone near Decatur, MS looking for a Heavy10 project (or parts machine).

Here is the link to website, if it works:
South Bend metal lathe - govdeals.com

It appears that they have two consecutive numbered machines for auction, starting at 200 bucks each (plus 12% buyers fee).
I have attached some photos below. Of course, up to you to haul away.
(I also see a big grinder and a brake in the background shots)

They are 4' flame hardened bed ways; 3-phase; serial numbers 1699aT and 16991T (best I can see). I see a taper attachment on
at least one of them. There's a big handle just left of the chuck, but don't know what that's for...maybe a spindle brake?
They are located at the East Central Community College in Decatur, MS.
Contact name is Artie Foreman, (601) 635-6266

The site says they were working when disconnected. Besides some surface rust and dirt, they don't look too bad...I've seen worse.
I can't tell if the threading guide is on the QC gearbox or not.
You have to register with "Govt Deals" to bid. I don't have any idea if anyone has bid on them yet.
Auction ends March 2nd.

So there they are guys...go get 'em! Road Trip!!
Good Luck.
