Default 8620 or H13 bar stock needed

I have a project I intend to take a stab at and I need a piece of 8620 or H13 bar stock in order to make it happen. I am trying to avoid buying a whole piece as I would most likely never use the rest of it. I need a piece that is a min of 2.625 diam, and a min length of 14". I know this is still a rather big piece of material I was just hoping someone out there may have something left over as a drop or a rem. Please let me know if you have something that would work and how much you are asking for it.

McMaster has 8620 for 85.00 per foot or 200.00 for a 3 footer; sounds like a bargain for what your are needing.

I don't know how competitive the pricing is, as I don't buy 8620, but speedy metals has an 18" length of 2-5/8" 8620 hot rolled for $106. I believe they also have cold finished.

8620 never struck me as all that expensive. I use a fair amount of 3" 8620, but my parts are 9" long so I will never have a 14" rem.

My bar supplier would have no problem cutting me an inch of 3" 8620 if I asked them to. It's not like you have to buy a whole bar.

The prices you guys are quoting from Mcmasters and online metals are insane. Iirc it's about $380 for a 20 footer of 3"
