Bandsaw tires
Need tires for a no name Taiwanese 5-speed band saw. Tires drop into a 15mm-wide x 4mm-deep groove on the wheel rims. I think what I am seeking is a company that makes custom tires. Suggestions for vendors?

I have not bought tires for my Powermatic yet, but I did bookmark this eBay listing. They say that they do custom tires. I have electric welders for joining round urethane drive belts, so I expect they do the same with rectangular stock that looks like flat belting.

I put a set of the Blue Max tires on an old Parks/Craftsman 18" wood band saw. It has had light use for about 5-6 years and no problems.

Who has off-the-shelf tires for you also will depend on the diameter of your wheels.
Carter products has rubber tires from 8" to 42" and urethane tires from 10" to 20" by 2" increments.
Having a metric size that is not close to an imperial size will likely mean that you will have to buy one oversize and trim both sides to fit.

Thanks Dan
Looks like you've come through again!
SG Tool looks like the guys. Bandsaw tires I'm looking for are a "tee" in cross section with crowned top. Probably end up with a crowned filler for the deep groove and a second band over the top.

In a thread started by Milacron (looking for order picker wheels) Scottl offered a site that does custom poly pouring for wheels. In there, they show that do bandsaw wheels, also.
While you (or they) would need to crown the wheels, probably, they wouldn't slip, and they'd be the right size. Cost is unknown...
