Wanted Yuasa chuck jaws

Looking for jaws for Yuasa 3 jaw 580-306, preferably hard but open to others.

If it uses American Standard top jaws they can be purchased from many vendors. I got a set of hard jaws for a 6-jaw from wttool.com. I believe they were Gator brand.

I think I came across those interwebbing. Are they $250 +/-?

If you want American Standard tongue and groove top jaws, you just need to specify chuck diameter. Brand should not matter for size, but there may be quality issues to consider.

Grinding the work holding surfaces may be required for best accuracy when using new jaws. A few years back, I called Pratt Burnerd America in Kalamazoo, MI and got a verbal quote on new top jaws for a 6" chuck, including grinding them in on my chuck. I forgot the amount, but they do do that service, either on your jaws or with jaws they sell. The grinding was cheaper if you also buy their jaws.

You can probably buy a new Chinese chuck with 2-piece jaws that will fit any standard chuck for less money than buying just jaws from a non-Chinese name brand.
