The inserts are slightly used, but still in very good condition, no wear on the cutting edges
Different types available

CBN is the second hardest known material in the world; the hardest being diamond. This, in addition to many other extreme properties makes it the ideal cutting tool material for hard, abrasive workpieces. CBN has greater chemical and thermal stability than diamond, which dissolves in iron and has a maximum temperature limit of approximately 700°C (1300°F).
In contrast, CBN is chemically inert in ferrous materials and retains its hardness at temperatures in excess of 1000°C (1800°F) which is typical for HPT.

You should post pictures.... and prices. :willy_nilly:

For others, wear on these is often small when used and you can retouch them with a very fine grit diamond wheel on your hand grinder.
They always need a edge prep, T-land preferred but you can do this with a diamond stone.
Very long life stuff. Great in hard throws fire stuff (it loves heat), excels in cast iron, and works in soft metals at low speeds when needed.
Big advantage goes to no size adjust, downside is price tag and chipbreaker/postive cut as most are true negatives.
All big production shops use CBN in cast iron or hard turning.
They do chip even more than carbide if used wrong.
Everyone should have a few CBN tips for that "just won't cut stuff" we all get.

I might be interested in some of the CCGW / 2P.

If you measure across from one side to the other, how wide are they?

Steve

Got my package this morning. Thanks Luc.

I haven't got a project to use them on yet, but when I do, I'm all ready!
