Deckel SOE Grinder Part - The Locating Gauge is used to set up and align single-lipped milling or engraving cutters for indexing to the preset stops at 0° and 180° on the Deckel SOE grinder.
8mm diameter shaft x 65mm long.

These are very often worn or missing, so my old German toolmaker friend Andreas made a small batch of 10 superior copies of the Deckel part. These have 8mm precision ground tool steel shanks and CNC milled, heat treated tool steel heads. Each is hand lapped and checked for accuracy on a surface plate with gage blocks. Much more durable and accurate than the original part. Deckel wants about $100 ea. for these consumable parts. Here is a superior part for a bit less money.
