FS: 1 5/8 x 8 Threaded Back Plate with 6" 3 jaw Cushman Chuck.

I'm mainly selling this chuck for it's back plate, a 6" round 1 5/8" x 8 threaded plate that currently has an old 6" 3 jaw Cushman on it. The thread seems to be a bit uncommon (old South Bends?) but the plate is in good shape. Also has an old owners name stamped into it: H.L. Morrison.


It only has the outside grip jaws with it which are still serviceable. The chuck's beat up but The pinion's and scroll are good and I haven't found any cracks in it. The jaws from some other 6" Cushman's we have in the shop seem to slide in just fine, so I imagine you could find other sets of used jaws if you want to fix it up.

This chuck came with a machine it didn't belong with and I've got enough old chucks on the rack. It'll go in a medium flat rate box, unless you ONLY want the back plate, but price and shipping's the same either way.

Heck of a deal. I would have paid that for just the chuck.

I like to have one chuck with just the outside jaws so that I don't have to change jaws when I need to use it.
