FS: 2 Buck/Hardinge 5" Chucks with 4 degree HLV taper - 3 jaw Tru-Adjust and 4 jaw

Garage cleanout, looking at maybe selling these chucks that came with my HLV.

Let's get this out of the way - no outer jaws for the 3jaw chuck, just the inner jaws. The previous owner lost them I guess.

They have 4 degree taper backplates. Both are in pretty great shape. I can't say 'never crashed' since I'm not the first owner, but as far as I've used them, they are functionally like new. The 4-jaw especially is barely used. No roughness in the scroll, jaws are tight and intact.

Buck/Hardinge #2534 5" 3-jaw Tru-Adjust. No outer jaws.

These seem uncommon to sell, so I don't have much to go on pricewise.

Based on some old ebay sales, let's say $400 OBO for each, feel free to shoot me offers.

Cheers.

Don't believe you're missing the outer jaws for the 4-jaw. These jaws should be reversible as most independent 4 jaw chucks are. Just take the jaws out and turn them around.

There's one on eBay with both sets of jaws and a key for $434. Would you take $350 and a bit of shipping for the 3-jaw?

That sounds reasonable, i'll PM you

So, I've been cutting parts on my HLV for maybe 4 years. I've flipped around 4j chuck jaws countless times. Yet, at 9pm after a scotch when writing the post, I think I went on autopilot and did some copy-pasting.

I'll fix the post, thanks for pointing it out.
