Needs work - please read.
I bought a couple of these on Ebay, advertised NOS and they look it. They are nice indicators but this one one is sticky. I think it needs to be disassembled and carefully cleaned and lubricated. I took off the back cover to take a look, but I lost courage and did not proceed any further. This is a really sensitive instrument. Maybe it just needs a drop of oil but I don't have the right oil on hand, and I don't need another project.
Not sure if you can tell from the photos, this is a large indicator. 3-5/8" face with a 3/8" stem.
Comparable Dorsey and Mahr indicators are going for about $200 on Ebay in working condition. I think this is a good price for a project:
$50 + shipping.
