I got last week the L0 spanner Wrench from Walter for my 1949 Rivett 1020S lathe. I was very please, much nicer of what I expected.
I was very happy to find so many enthusiastic folks of old machines in this forum.
    Thanks

I have just recently acquired my first lathe, a Logan 12". I need an L00 spanner to remove the chuck. Seems like I can't learn anything unless I take it apart.

    Thanks,
    David

My L00 spindle wrench for my Clausing 5914 lathe came today. The spindle nut on the 5914 has holes in the spindle nut to acomodate a 7/16" pin on the wrench. The new tool was made with enough tab length to allow me to shape it into a more rounded pin. I scribed a circle on the end of the tab using a washer and small sharpened file. Then I used a Dremmel cutoff wheel and to hog off most of the material and finished rounding the tab into a pin with a small file. It fits the lathe great and is very stout.

Received my L00 spanner for my LeBlond Dual Drive.
It's a VERY nicely crafted tool, fits well, and just feels right in the hands.
I'm confident I'll get a lifetimes use out of it.

Also, the price was great, and it arrived only a few days after I ordered it.

    Thanks Walter.

    Default Back in business

Like many old pumps my heart slowly then rapidly developed a bad check valve over the last couple of years. On November 20th I underwent a new type of "Beating Heart" surgery to implant a new Mitral valve on top of the old leaky one. Surgery was painful but successful. All that has to happen now is for my heart to get used to a properly working valve and for me to slowly get back into as much of an active life as I am able.

It took a bit longer for me to ship the last spanner sold but it's now shipped and I am ready to knock out some more when needed.

Thanks to all who purchased these over the last several years. I hope I have designed and made them to be a part of your "Lifetime" tools collection.

    Christmas Cheer to all!
    Walter
