Hello all. You know I help in the reconditioning forum and other forums when someone asks a question that I have learned in my 50+ years of working in the trade of Machine Rebuilding, Machining and Training. I sell the following tools, book, and classes. I am also rebuilding machinery and can consult with you on your problems. Most of the time I do this for free, but on bigger projects I charge a small fee.

Here is what I am selling. These castings and they have been High Temp Stress relieved 1 time. Some photo's show machined. Those usually cost around $600.00 extra but done on a bid after as I sub that out. They only need to be stress relieved once 99% of the time.

MANY BUYERS WANT TO BUY ONE STRAIGHT-EDGE FOR ECONOMIC REASONS EXPECTING TO DO EVERYTHING. LATHE BEDS AND MILL TABLES, ETC THIS POSSIBLE BUT THE HK STYLE IS FOR LATHE BEDS OR GRINDER BEDS, NARROW WAYS. HKA IS MADE FOR WIDE FLAT WAYS TO FIT UNDER AND SCRAPE DOVETAIL WAYS. LIFTING AN HKA MODEL FOR A LATHE BED WILL GIVE YOU WHOLE MUSCLES AS THEY ARE MADE TO SCRAPE DOVETAIL WAYS. KEEP THAT IN MIND PLEASE AS A RECENT STUDENT CUSTOMER SCRAPED IN HIS LATHE BED WITH A HKA STYLE AND TOLD ME HE WISHED HE HAD FOLLOWED MY ADVICE.

Cast Iron is either class 30 or 40 closed grain grey iron. I am discounting these prices then what I sell them for on Ebay. Also I have more photo's so please Private message me

Richard, is your last pic in your post above the hollowed out prism design you were talking about with Denis?

L7

No, that picture was taken in Austria. The Straight Edge was from the students factory in Germany They built new CNC machines. The one I talked about in Dennis's thread was a 3 sided outside solid. The hole is an exact copy of the outside but smaller the one I saw had about a 1/2 wall. I'll drawn a sketch sometime. I've also have seen some Chinese brands that have holes drilled in them to lighten them up. The ones I sell were designed by my Dad who had to lift them day in and day out and he made a strong no flex but lightweight.
