machinist toothpicks

In Botswana is an amazing place called Okavango Delta. I was there a few months ago and one of the locals pointed out a big thorny shrub. He told us it was thorn acacia, and that the thorns were widely used as toothpicks. I snipped off a couple with my nail clipper. They have proved to be very good toothpicks indeed. I still have them. They are tough as nails and have a needle point at one end. They are ivory white and just slightly abrasive.

The Chinese are gonna come in and steal your market.
The current scare might prop your side up for a while.
They would have to be high precision toothpicks for the machinists world as we are very picky and fussy.
Are they made to a few tenths or even sub-micron tolerances?
We will pay more for that. It's a pride and mine is better thing.
