If this is a 16C (18 1/2" swing) i could use the cast bracket that supports lead screw, drive rod and clutch rod on the tailstock end.

I know that the swing is different, but I have that piece off, maybe we can compare dimensions?

Taper attachment pulled. That was nasty.

It will obviously need taken apart and cleaned up.

Did the apron gears come apart like in post 4 of this other thread on a cy?
It kind of looks like the gear for the bed rack is cut on the end of the shaft, with the nut on the front?

Which I'll do if I have to, neither is that complex an operation, but if i can find one that's a little more plug-and-play, that might be preferable.

Well, the one I have won't work either. It's for 2 TPI leadscrew. It's also been busted and re-brazed, and is locked up.

I didn't get a chance to go through and measure the steadies. Dad said he did so and made a list, but IDK if I trust his numbers entirely. I might have that info by this weekend.

A two TPI leadscrew? Holy crap. What was the machine for, cutting corkscrews?

But I appreciate your looking. As I said, I have one I'd bought here earlier, I'll just have to cut a new gear and re-stamp the dial face.

No rush on the steadies, whenever you have the chance.

    Sorry,

Haven't checked this thread lately due to difference in swing. Yes, we can check dimensions. Let me take some measurements this evening.

    Thanks
