Heidenhain control, but many of the mechanical components carry over to the DX

You could have years of spares for short money
Rigger ding your sheetmetal? this is the time
When I put all this stuff on ebay it will be a PITA and probably sell to those guys who list everything starting at a grand and wait until you are desperate
Buy the Y axis servo motor I paid a grand for for 100 bucks
Things did change year to year, for instance the way covers on two machines a year apart are not the same, so I cannot guarantee fit
