lazz - I don't understand the point of your post. Is this your stuff? someone else's? You seem to be saying that this stuff is junk, but if I have that wrong, is that a 1" insert face mill on an R8 shank?

    It is a 1 1/2" and a 3" face mill both on R8's

The point of this post was to ask opinions on a price....
A new person asked me if I had some of these things.... I made a pile and priced it. But to tell the truth I felt the price was too high.... So I asked for opinions....
Last night this got 130 plus views and no comments.
I interpret the results as the price was too high....
So I dropped the price. And re offered it to the new guy....

Is that as clear as mud?

Im just trying to be a nice ol retired fart.... unlike the hard core workin ass I was....

Darn, I was wondering what the price per pound "take all or most of it" pricing would be when a few hundred pounds of used tooling, drills, etc. is being considered.

I guess I could start a thread.... Or search for an existing one.

I found this, and participated in it:

I have found HSS re-sharp endmills you can hardly give away ,in some of my lot buys I ended up with several hundred of them. Last Xmas time I filled small flat rate boxs with them and shipped for $10 total. As to what you have there Lazz if the caliper is anything but Chinese I would have gave/offered you $100, mainly for the calipers and insert cutters . Myself when selling tooling most is 25% or less than new in good shape, some things I go maybe 40% if as new or something with a high demand. The sales you recently did I thought your prices were in some cases a bit high but overall about what I would have done for the same items. You sold most items quickly so that says you were not far off on pricing.

I use two local machine tool places that sell tooling by the pound: Hemly Tool (currently at $4/LB) and S&S Machinery (currently at $3/LB). Hope this helps.

Sometimes the items I find are treasures. I recently found a 2 1/4" x 8 tap that was etched as 2 1/4 x 6 and marked red. Was my lucky day! Got it for $13 in near new condition.

    Best Regards,
    Bob
