Default Rivett 8" precision taper turner, swap or maybe sell

I've recently bought a 608 on an oak cabinet which will all clean up beautifully, the only trouble is the taper turner. It turns out the taper turner I have is from an 8" precision, cosmetically very similar to the 608 unit but somewhat different in detail. The cross slide extension piece sits on top of the end of the cross slide on the early machine but on the end on the 608, this means the taper turner ends up higher to suit on the earlier machine. Bolting the early unit on my 608 and the slide casting hits the extended cross slide screw. It could be sorted out with adapter plates etc but I just wondered if anyone else had an 8" precision lathe but a 608 taper turner. You never know.....
