No need to guess. The first picture shows the chuck front is marked "(diameter symbol) 80" and we know the Germans tend to be metric.

It could be worse as to lame excuses.
One of my San Ou chucks has the same markings in universal "<diameter sign> 80" and my reading of written Chinese is gawdawful slow even with a "radicals" dictionary several inches thick.
Even worse? ToS-Svitavy use the same markings. Now one should have to learn Czech, too?
