That's not a carbide body. That is what Sandvik calls "heavy metal". You can cut it with a saw blade. Very good for vibration dampening.

I don't think so. Aside from the fact that the seller probably knows what he has judging by his length of time here, those are pretty clearly brazed together two-piece shafts. That strongly suggests a tungsten carbide shank with a steel head. The heavy metal (DensiMet, is it?) units should be one solid piece.
