Might have a couple hours of use at most. In excellent condition. Will come in the original Sandvik padded crate coated in rust inhibitor.
3x33"with through coolant damped boring bar. Will need coroturn head to complete. Bar only. I do have an EA boring bar holder I will throw in for free if you need it. Will split shipping cost with buyer. $2500

I will also consider trades. I am looking for a nice enerpac setup, maybe an indexing head or offer up tooling you may want to trade.

Can't use it (it probably would bend the bed on my lathe), but I'm curious:

How does it dampen vibrations?

Steve

I'm not entirely sure how this thing works. I think it has a tuned counterweight that counteracts the bar at resonant frequencies. Some have oil in them to help dampen the vibrations. I do know the Sandvik documentation show some crazy setups with extreme bar overhangage.

I bought this and we have been using it on one of our vtls it is nothing short of amazing.

Dampened bars are incredible. I had a 1.5" Kennametal bar that was amazing. It just did everything 10 times better than a standard bar. I got to see how it was made when it rapided into a chuck jaw. It had carbide slugs inside held in place with O-rings.

Had to slow everything down 50% after I killed that bar. I stole it on ebay. Didn't even know what a dampened bar was when I bought it.
