This is slightly different from the usual 711 last word indicator, Looks to be a newer model.

0.0001 (tenths) resolution.

Action is like new; crisp, no sluggishness or stickiness.

Crystal is crystal clear. Dial is perfect, as is the ring. Scale is yellow on one side and white on the other.

Pretty much not a scratch on it, except for the numbers "698-15" lightly engraved on the side (almost invisible).

Original Starrett padded case with clamp and two mounting bars.

$125 plus shipping

Steve, not a new model, an old discontinued one. Featured in my 1970 Starrett catalogue but not in my 'new' 1998 one. Maybe that's why there's been little interest.

I have a similar model, but it has a bent 'arm' type bar. It is also in really good shape, like Steve's, but I don't ever use it. Could be that no one seems to like the last word models these days...

I was only suggesting that it was a "newer" model than the one we normally think of when we hear "Starrett Last Word". That model had been around since dinosaurs roamed the earth :-)
