Vintage Pixie Miniature Lathe

Hi, I am relatively new to the site & am helping my father downsize...my father is in his 80's & has a vintage Pixie Miniature Hobby Lathe for sale(pls see pix)...unfortunately he never got around to using this hobby lathe...we would like to see his collectable pieces go to people who know what they are & can use & appreciate them...if someone within the community is interested in purchasing or knows of someone who is, pls let me know...my email is [email protected] for your help

A ManSon or DuoLathe is much better suited for ornamental uses, as opposed to ornamental turning.

A good base model for converting to a miniature of a Monarch (sorta).

Some nice deco aluminum, and fake out a couple extra charts and such... :)

Cute little things! Shockingly expensive, unless you find one at a garage sale...
 
I always wondered what Harbor Freight copied to make their mini lathes....

The old-style machines for cutting door keys wasn't it?

The larger Asian lathes copied the "slab-sided" LeBlond Regals and Colchesters.
Or maybe it was the other way 'round?

Anyhoo... never trust a trapezoidal lathe to make ROUND objects if the makers don't even know how to make curves in a foundry pattern.
