I'm not quite ready to shell out for a Royal QG chuck, but I need to do some smaller diameter bar work in my 8" lathe. Does anyone have a Kalamazoo or similar chuck in this style:
that they might be willing to part with?
I have a cheapo 5C chuck for a manual lathe and tried hanging onto that with softjaws, but it ends up super bulky and I am not confident it'll stay put. This style seems better.
Let me know if you have one you're not using.
