This is a 2 1/2-8 hexagon threading die my dad ordered by mistake years ago and it has been sitting on the self since.never used just shelf wear. MADE IN JAPAN! msc still sells one with that part number from china for 275.00

That's about perfect for someone that deals in larger, heavier pressure vessels or other PVF for cleaning the paint off studs.

Wrong! This is a re-threading die. The OP is selling a threading die. They are NOT the same.

I guess you could , but this is a threading die, not a thread chaser. Thread chasers are much less expensive.

Actually, the picture posted of the box is labeled a re-threading die.

The box does say rethreading and and so does MSC with that same part number. I made a mistake I apologize for any confusion. I was not educated on the difference between a threading vrs a rethreading die.
I will try to figure out how to edit my post and relabel the post..i will drop my price to $150.00

Vince,
You cannot edit a post when it's X days old. And you cannot edit the title after you publish a post, so if you intend to keep changing the price, don't put it into the title.

And a friendly advice, if you don't mind. Don't quote MSC prices as a comparison if you don't want to aggravate a lot of members of this board. MSC is well known for its ridiculously high non-competitive prices for many items.
