WTB Case Hardening Knoop Vickers Wilson Tester

Hoping I can pick up an appropriate tester for measuring case hardening.

Also will consider a Wilson Superficial tester, prefer a small/older model for compatibility with my 1PR.

If you have a spare tester, please let me know!

If you are searching the Internet for a microhardness tester, you need to spell Knoop correctly. Tukon would be another search term.

Knoop hardness test - Wikipedia

I ran micro hardness tests when I was in school (1963) and know that the machine would cost a fortune new. Perhaps an old used one would be cheap, but I suspect a new replacement indenter by itself would cost a bunch.

Weird, thanks for pointing that out, I must have typed it wrong or it was auto corrected.

Yes I am looking for something used, hopefully in a less than astronomical price range. I am currently having samples done at my heat treater, at $60 a sample. Which is a reasonable price for the work involved... but it would be nice to be able to test myself when needed/wanted.

I doubt I will find one for a steal of a deal like I did my Wilson Rockwell tester... but one can hope/dream.
