I am interested in buying a digital bore gage 1.5-6 inch (give or take a bit) that will do .0001 res in/mm. I’ve looked at this years posts, back to May and have not seen any for sale. Anyone have one for sale?

If you want the best bore gage, get out your big boy checkbook and buy a Sunnen. Then if you think it must be digital, put a digital indicator on it. Sunnen may offer that as a factory option now. The big Sunnen starts at 2 inch diameter, so you will need to buy the smaller one as well to cover below 2". Unless you are buying setting masters for specific bores, buy Sunnen's adjustable setting master as well.
All that said, unless you really need the electronic data collection you can achieve from a digital indicator, an analog indicator will be much faster and more readable. It has to do with how a bore gage is used and read. Unlike most other measuring instruments, with a bore gage you are sweeping through the bore, looking for a minimum reading. This is much faster watching a needle than watching digits change.

I would also like to point out that you need a hole standard within approximately one inch for every hole size you wish to measure. Without those standard hole gauges you have no way to know your bore gauge is measuring accurately. These hole gauge costs will bring tears to your eyes!

Don't buy a hand held dial bore gauge with a electronic indicator. All the numbers flashing will drive you nuts, the old fashion analog is much better.
