I have a 3 phase recepticle I need to wire in. My question is the recepticle is labled "W" (silver screw, looks like it goes to lug with tab on it), "X, Y, Z". I was planning on putting my hot leads to X, Y and Z and my ground to the W. There is a label on the recepticle that says "This device not for grounding use. Connect only to nongrounding circuits". Should I not use a bare ground on this recepticle on "W"?
Thanks

Tim,
I believe what you have is a 4 pole 4 wire plug or 3 phase leads and a neutral not ground. The correct plug if you don't need a neutral is 3 pole 4 wire or 3 phase leads and ground. The ground wire screw should always be green.
Good luck, Rick.
