Anyone know what bearing size the AD-40 RPC (American Rotary) uses?
I would like to have the bearings in hand before tearing down the motor.
AR only provides the part #, not the actual bearing #.

Tearing down the motor is no big deal. Done it many times, too many. You're going to have to do it anyway.

Procedure:
1. Unbolt the two end bell covers.
2. Use a little heat on the covers to make the bearing hole larger.
3. Remove covers one at a time.

You think that is the worst part right? Wrong.

You have to remove the original bearings off the rotor. I always have to devise a fixture for that and either use some heat or pressing a op.

Ya. Looked there also.
AR wants $400/pair. That seem right for that motor size?

Go call Motion Industries to see what AR's profit margin is...

I would part the case and flush the original bearings with acetone or lacquer thinner. Then inject the grease. Can eliminate a costly guess so.

If they are rubber sealed I've heard that a rubber side can be popped off and then pushed back on after a cleaning. Have not done that myself.

I replace my motor bearings with totally sealed ones. Reason is less atmospheric/particle contamination.
