Need to replace a stepper that has 5 wires. I mostly see 4,6, or 8 wire steppers, looks to me like 5 wire motors are just really 6 wire steppers with the center taps wired together internally and brought out as one. So I should be able to just do that externally to use a 6 wire motor as long as the specs match, right?
