Hi Everyone i need some help here figuring out my buck down transformer size for my mill. I will list the info that i have for the machine. I also want to drop the voltage After the RPC. Im having a discrepancy on KVA size for my machine. My machine is a older mill and the specs in the book give a "max" KVA 15, however my motor is 7.5 hp rated and 5.5 kw so im not sure which info to go off of? any info would be much appreciated.

Machine :
93 Excel 510
200-220v 3 phase
Max kva 15 ( in manual)
Motor 7.5hp 5.5kw / (or 6.875 kva)

Infeed voltage 240v to RPC

Looking to drop down to 208v

This is the unit i came up with. However im not 100% sure on the kva size.

You don't need 15 KVA. You need to have to have the same current but you only have 1/7.5 the voltage so you only need 1/7.5 the KVA, 2 KVA.
