Capacitor polarity and bleed resistor questions

Hi all,

I am closing in on the end of my RPC project and have a couple more questions. The caps I am using do not appear to have polarity markings like I thought they would. Since I am wiring them parallel I wanted to be sure I wasn’t missing something. On the bleed resistors I am assuming I can run one for each parallel group of caps? I suspect it would be ideal to have one per cap but I don’t see a good way to wire that.

I’m obviously not an electrical expert so I appreciate the advice,

Nathan

Your caps label says "370 VAC" which are the correct ones to use.

There is no polarity for A.C.

One resistor per paralleled group is fine. Just remember that if you dis connect a cap, they will recharge themselves and could give you a nasty zap.
