Hi guys, been a while since I posted anything, Input requested from any one on whether I should go with an RPC or VFD for my shop, I have a 3 hp 8.6 amp milltronics with centurion 6 control and am in the proces of retrofitting an old HNC Hardinge lathe to a different control. I have a 60 amp service to my shop and recently sold the RPC I had with the Mazak lathe (it was sold with the RPC) as a package deal. so now I have to replace the RPC or make one or something. considering that the Milltronics works good can I use a VFD just to give me three phase or does it need to control RPM as well, I would prefer to leave the Milltronics as is. What are your thoughts.
