I have an old (1960 +/- 110v ) single speed one direction hand drill. Two wire.
Is it possible to make this unit Reversabl without extensive work ?? I'm not that farmilia with 110v ac power.
Retaining the single speed.
Thanks. Pappanick.

No need. Just become "familiar with grocery store arithmetic".
CORDED hand (power) tools? Reversible and variable-speed drills start at about ten bucks and work upwards. All include a new chuck, all new everything, actually.
You cannot afford to mess with this for anything less than a multiple of the price of a new one.
Mind - your privilege to try.
But kindly spare the rest of us the agony before some OTHER overly-penurious junkbox zealot decides to also repair 1960's vintage used condoms - make them reversible - and publish the methodology of it online.
A DPDT toggle or slide switch to reverse the polarity of the brushes will do it. The problem is there is not sufficient space within the drill housing for it.
