RPC and Transformer

I'm going to run a 20hp RPC with 235vac for most shop tools except a couple that need 575/600 V

I planned to feed a 600 x 208/120 15kva transformer that I possess...but it looks to me that I can only tap down 5% which will result in about 649v with a 236v lowside....crap!

Any suggestions without spending lots?

Thx

Another question, which 20hp motor

#1 9w 220/440 full end bells vents on the bottom old style Century
#2 12w 230/460 Toshiba WES vented on ends. Can wire Y or D

Which makes a better RPC Y or D and why so.

Some old school Century motors were repulsion start induction run single phase motors. They look like 3 phase motors because there is no capacitor bump, but they are single phase. Just something to check.

The Century was the oem motor from my Monarch 612 with 3-ph reversing motor contactor and running 440 when I bought it so I'm confident its 3ph. I have it turning with 5Hp single but a 10hp 220 3ph would be better.

I have Subsequently scavenged 4ea. smallish isolation transformers {fused @10A so >=2.4Kva) 240/220/208v - 120x2. I could parallel them up in reverse to provide 220v to the idler. The 575 xfmer should be good with that.

I will get a pic of 575 xfmer label posted soon.

$1300.......$500, everything else has been basically free, a buck boost 120x12,14 could do it for me.

Im just adding a 575v compressor and lathe so it can wait until the right deal comes along.

This RPC has a 1/4hp flexible coupled pony.

Thanks to all.
