    On a Clausing I used to run that was a clutched lathe, the apron lever not only engaged the spindle, but when moved hard down, it applied a disc brake. I wonder if your apron lever and it strange movements will actuate the brake as well. It would make ergonomic sense to do so..in my thinking.

    I want to say thanks to everyone that took out there time and helped me out. Also a special thanks to Stuart. The game plan worked out this morning. Lathe is running as planned with the push buttons using the exciting contactors and using another 220 source hooked to the Transformer. I was worried about the VFD I bought. I did my research and by god the first time everything worked. Yeaaaaaa!!!
